Local-only operation

Just A Phone is a local-only Android launcher intended for people aged 16 and older. It has no user account, sign-in, Internet service, cloud sync, analytics, crash reporting, advertising, purchases, or remote configuration.

Information stored on the phone

App settings, selected apps, focus settings, notes, sessions, rules, and appearance settings remain in private storage on the user’s phone. Optional Contacts access supports the Favorite People feature. Contact information is not uploaded, sold, or shared.

Calendar, location, Bluetooth, usage, notification, and media access are not included. Automatic cloud backup and device-to-device restoration are disabled.

User control and deletion

Contacts access can be denied or revoked without preventing the rest of the app from working. Users can delete all locally stored app data from the app’s Privacy screen, through Android system settings, or by uninstalling the app.

An encrypted local export is created only when the user explicitly requests it and is sent only to the destination chosen by that user.
